Product Description
Powerful and rugged outdoor USB WiFi antenna. Allows you to connect to distant networks like never before. It can connect your computer to an Internet WiFi network that is normally unattainable. Installation is simple; just plug the 30ft USB cable to your computer, install the easy software, and you're finished. In a few short minutes, you can be browsing the web. The CC X Mile is a great solution for getting WiFi in your RV, Big Rig, Boat or Home. It's cast aluminum body and outdoor rated connections should provide many years of reliable use. An 8dBi omni-directional WiFi antenna is included that provides strong signal strength in all horizontal directions. For long-range reception, it is best to mount it outside and up high where distant signals can be received without obstructions.
Obstructions can reduce distance and speed. Interference from other WiFi signals found in an urban environment can be reduced by using a directional antenna (sold separately). The best distance and speed will be achieved in locations without many available networks.
The included 8dBi WiFi antenna has a cast-aluminum mounting bracket and PVC coated antenna element for best signal and can mount to a wall or a 1/2" to 2" pipe mast. In our tests inside the house, we could see only 10 available networks with our laptop computer. With the CC X Mile mounted outside, we could see more than 50 available networks with 2 or more signal strength bars. For difficult to receive WiFi signals you can remove the 8dBi WiFi antenna and attach our 15dBi directional Point-to-Point WiFi antenna ... Read more
